After you’ve followed the steps to connect your Shopify store to the gfx Admin, you are ready to create products for your customers to engage with and customize live on your store.

Whether you’d like to offer the ability for customers to take existing assets and marks you own, creating unique versions based on rules and options you set, or give customers even more creative power with freeform options, allowing them to use their own assets and enhance personalization.

gfx makes it possible.

The Highlights:

  • Install the gfx Admin app to your Shopify store
  • Create products customers can customize live on your store
  • Provide pre-set asset options or allow full creative freedom
  • Enhance personalization with customer-uploaded assets

We’ve created a step-by-step wizard with tools that will help when creating your designs. This is where you’ll select your product type, create your design layout, and add your placeholder images that will appear as a static product image on your store (default product image).

The Highlights:

  • Use the step-by-step gfx wizard to build designs
  • Choose product template type
  • Create design layout that will be displayed as the default product image on your store

Once your design template has been laid out, you can add your collections to each slot you’ve created on the template. For example, if you have a large background slot, you will want to create a collection for these images so that the customer can choose from the assortment within the collection you have selected and can be assigned to that slot in the design template. Follow the same process for additional slots that you’ve added to the design template.

The Highlights:

  • Add collections to template slots
  • Create collections
  • Allow customers to select from images in your collection
  • Repeat the process for all other slots in the template

As you create or make changes, you can always check your template’s functionality and customer-facing appearance and design options before making it live with the “Preview” button, which can be found in the wizard. For more information on collections and design best practices, please see our help guide. Reach out with any additional questions; we’re happy to assist!

The Highlights:

  • Preview template functionality before going live
  • View customer-facing design appearance
  • Use the “Preview” button in the wizard
  • Access help guides for collections and best practices
  • Support is available for questions

When your design is populated with the collections and rules you’d like your customers to see, you are ready to publish and make your first gfx product live! We highly recommend connecting to your print partner and testing the full flow to ensure you are ready to ship gfx products to your customers via your preferred print & fulfillment partner.

The Highlights:

  • Publish your gfx product
  • Connect your print & fulfillment partner to your gfx account
  • Test the full workflow before shipping products
